2010 was the second year that PSW/LSI invited to vote for pro audio gear. Mostly aimed at sound reinforcement, "the winners were chosen by the ProSoundWeb community, with over 10,000 votes in 26 professional audio categories cast between December 18, 2010 and January 5, 2011", as stated on the PSW website. "The races in each category were close and competitive, owing to the overall strength of every product entered combined with the distinct yet varied preferences of the pro audio industry's largest online community." In the category "Power Amplifiers" alone, 10 nominees were calling for votes, among them both the Powersoft Duecanali 3904 and the M50Q. In the end, the Powersoft M50Q came out as a winner of the Readers' Choice Award, seemingly impressing the crowds with its flexibility deriving from 4 channels with 1,250W into 4 ohms each in only a single rack unit space, great efficiency resulting in lower power consumption, and optional DSP and Ethernet capabilities for a wide range of applications.
